Apoorva Prakash
President
Apoorva Prakash is a 3L student, jointly pursuing an M.S. in Electrical Engineering at Penn Engineering. She did her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley in Computer Science and Economics. Before law school, she worked as a software engineer for three years. Outside of CSR, she is the Symposium Editor for the Journal of Law and Innovation, a board member of the Youth Advocacy Project, and a loyal participant in the Penn Law Bowling League. In her free time, she likes taking walks around the city, cooking, and trying new restaurants!

Tara Fay
Vice President
Tara Fay (she/they) is a 2L from Danville, CA. She earned her BA in Music Education with an emphasis in Vocal Performance at UCLA in 2020, then spent five wonderful years as a Title I middle school music teacher and union activist. Tara also serves as President of Lambda, Co-President of the Student Public Interest Network, Vice President of the Disabled and Allied Law Students Association, Co-Chair of the Law and Justice Mentorship Program, Direct Services Coordinator for the Transgender Empowerment and Advocacy Project, Associate Editor on the Journal of Law and Social Change, and President and co-founder of the Tabletop Gaming Club. In their free time, they enjoy making music, writing, drawing, and playing video games and Dungeons & Dragons.

Paul Welfer
Treasurer
Paul Welfer is an ML candidate originally from New York City. He earned a BA in American Civilization, magna cum laude; MS in Organizational Dynamics; and MPhil from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of CSR, Paul serves as Co-President of the Master in Law Society and Director of Alumni Relations for the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly. For fun, Paul is an avid runner who agrees, “The race is not always to the swift but to those who keep on running.”

Sujin Cho
3L REPRESENTATIVE
Sujin Cho is a 3L from Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a BSBA in business administration and finance from Georgia Institute of Technology and is interested in the intersection of business and law. Outside of school, Sujin enjoys spending time with friends, meeting new people, exploring restaurants, cooking, baking, and generally having a good time. She is excited to serve on CSR this year!

Ava Nabatkhoran
3L REPRESENTATIVE
Ava Nabatkhoran (she/her) is a 3L from New York City. She attended Macaulay Honors College at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she majored in Political Science and minored in Law. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring and finding new restaurants, and solving puzzles (like Murdles). She is excited to serve the Penn Carey Law community!

Lindsay Schechter
3L REPRESENTATIVE
Lindsay is a 3L at Penn Carey Law. She is from Harrison, New York, and worked in New York City for four years before attending law school. In addition to CSR, Lindsay is involved in Penn Law’s Women’s Association, Run Club, and Career Strategy Committee. Last summer, Lindsay worked at Skadden across its Executive Compensation, Employment Law, and M&A teams; she will return to the firm as a full-time associate after graduating from Penn Law this spring. Outside of school, Lindsay enjoys running, hiking, skydiving, traveling, trying new restaurants (and ice cream spots!), and reading mysteries.

Theza Friedman
2L REPRESENTATIVE
Theza Friedman (she/her) is a 2L from Princeton Junction, New Jersey. She earned her undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College, where she majored in Economics and Anthropology. Prior to law school, Theza worked as a paralegal in New York City. At Penn Carey Law, Theza is an Associate Editor on the Journal of Business Law and a Finance Chair for the Women’s Law Association. In her spare time, she plays in local billiards and corn hole leagues, enjoys crafts, and will never pass up an opportunity to pet a dog. She is excited to contribute to CSR by promoting a strong community throughout the law school.

Michael T. Beachem, IV
ML REPRESENTATIVE
Michael T. Beachem, IV (he/him) is an ML candidate from Monroe Township, NJ. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Business Administration from Wilkes University. He holds a MA in Counselor Education from Kean University and an EdM in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University. In addition to CSR, Michael is in his second year serving as the Director of Development for the Master in Law Society. He is involved with Lambda Law, the Federalist Society and American Constitution Society and serves on the Biddle Law Library Student Advisory Board. Outside of law school, Michael is involved with his fraternity, enjoys researching his family genealogy and spending time with friends discussing pop culture and television. Michael considers it his greatest privilege to keep a promise he made to his grandparents to care for his mom who is a 53-year cancer survivor. He is excited to represent his fellow ML classmates and work to build upon the great network of collegiality that Penn Carey Law is so well regarded for.
