President
Mihir Rai is a 3L from Dallas, TX. He earned a BA in political science from UCLA. Outside of law school, he enjoys watching movies, collecting shoes, and exploring Philadelphia’s food scene. He serves on the board of Penn Carey Law's South Asian Law Student Association and is also an associate editor of The Regulatory Review. He is excited to serve on CSR this year and continue strengthening the Penn Carey Law community!

Sujin Cho
Vice President
Sujin Cho is a 1L from Atlanta, Georgia. She earned a BSBA in business administration and finance from Georgia Institute of Technology and is interested in the intersection of business and law. Outside of school, Sujin enjoys spending time with friends, meeting new people, exploring restaurants, cooking, baking, and generally having a good time. She is excited to serve on CSR this year!

Paul Welfer
Treasurer
Paul Welfer is an ML candidate originally from New York City. He earned a BA in American Civilization, magna cum laude; MS in Organizational Dynamics; and MPhil from the University of Pennsylvania. Outside of CSR, Paul serves as Co-President of the Master in Law Society and Director of Alumni Relations for the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly. For fun, Paul is an avid runner who agrees, “The race is not always to the swift but to those who keep on running.”

EMMA KOPP

Emma Kopp is a 3L from Cleveland Heights, Ohio and graduated from Denison University with degrees in Anthropology/Sociology and Religion. Prior to law school, she worked in the nonprofit sector; most recently, she was at the Cleveland Foundation where she served on the grantmaking team and coordinated the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards. In her free time, she enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, going for runs, reading, and exploring Philadelphia. She is looking forward to serving the Penn Carey Law community!

Gia Landicini

Gia is a 3L from Winter Garden, Florida. Before Law School, she was an elementary school teacher in New York City for three years. She attended the University of Florida for undergrad, where she majored in Psychology and English and minored in Art History. Gia is Production Editor of Vol. 174 of Law Review. In her free time, Gia enjoys watching movies and rating them on Letterboxd, thrift shopping, and trying new restaurants.

Joseph Georges

Joseph Georges is a 2L from Houston, TX. He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Philosophy. Before coming to Penn Carey Law, Joseph worked in litigation research, coached competitive debate and public speaking, and provided software consulting services. At Penn, Joseph serves as President of the Middle Eastern Law Students Association and is active in several business law and entrepreneurship groups. In his free time, Joseph enjoys boxing, skiing, trading financial markets, and spending quality time with friends and family. He looks forward to representing his classmates and contributing to a strong, supportive community at Penn Carey Law!

Lindsay Schechter
2L Representative
Lindsay is a 2L at Penn Carey Law. She is from Harrison, NY, and worked for four years in New York City prior to law school. In addition to CSR, Lindsay is involved in Penn Law’s Women’s Association, Run Club, and Career Strategy Committee. Last summer, Lindsay worked at Kirkland & Ellis on their Executive Compensation and Employment Law Team. She will continue to develop her interest in executive compensation this summer at Skadden. Outside of school, Lindsay enjoys running, hiking, skydiving, traveling, trying new restaurants (and ice cream spots!), and reading mysteries.

JUSTIN knoebel
ML Representative
Justin Knoebel is an ML candidate from Philadelphia, PA. He earned a bachelor's degree in Accountancy with minors in Business Law, International Business, and Real Estate from Villanova University’s School of Business (VSB). He is a licensed CPA who works at the University of Pennsylvania in the Division of Finance as a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst, specializing in Capital Projects and Asset Management. In addition to serving on the CSR, Justin is the Treasurer of the Master in Law Society. Outside of work, Justin sits on the board of a local non-profit, volunteers at Wissahickon Valley Park, and enjoys life as a proud father to his one-year-old son.
