PRO BONO GROUPS

CSR funding is allocated only to support student groups/events that are open to all community members (even if not all students go). For pro bono project groups, TPIC offers funding for costs directly related to the service projects – such as transportation costs or necessary technology – but does not have funding available for food for regular meetings or trainings.

Instead, TPIC offers snack packs for those types of meetings and has full funding available for groups’ activities/events during Public Interest Week. This system allows TPIC to allocate funds equitably across all of the different project groups and prioritizes expenses related to the service work itself. If a pro bono project wants to have a community-wide event (for example, a speaker related to a project subject matter), they could apply for CSR funding and/or Student Affairs event funding.
